Twisted Times Yoga

Meet Trish
My approach is rooted in lived experience, curiosity, and the belief that yoga is not something we only practice on a mat.
I am not here to fix you or tell you who to become. I am here to help create space — through movement, meditation, breath, reflection, and honest conversation — so you can slow down, listen inward, and reconnect with what already lives within you.
About Trish
I’ve traveled the world in search of yoga — from the ashrams of India and the jungles of Costa Rica to the healing temples and vibrant yoga scene of Bali, as well as studios across the U.S. During my time as a teacher, I used extended breaks to immerse myself in yoga communities, study with different teachers, and experience diverse traditions firsthand. I also spent time as a digital nomad within the U.S., which helped me understand yoga as a practice that can travel with us through different places, seasons, and versions of ourselves.
Over the years, I’ve held a steady practice in Ashtanga, Hatha, Yin, Kundalini, and Vinyasa. In the beginning, I craved intensity — sometimes practicing three times a day just to feel the shifts in my body. But what began as purely physical soon deepened. I started to notice energetic release and uncanny synchronicities — signs that I was exactly where I needed to be.
That path eventually led me inward — into the world of meditation. I began with guided meditations and visualizations, then explored Transcendental Meditation, hypnotherapy, and other contemplative practices. Today, I remain deeply curious, continually exploring new techniques that bridge ancient traditions with modern methods.
Teaching, On and Off the Mat
Outside of yoga and meditation, I’ve spent over a decade working as a special education teacher. I’ve taught K-12 in public, private, charter, residential, alternative, and virtual settings — often supporting students with emotional and behavioral needs. In recent years, I’ve shifted toward elementary education and discovered a deep love for teaching phonics.
That work taught me how to meet people where they are — with patience, presence, and a sense of humor. It’s also shaped how I guide yoga and meditation: with curiosity, adaptability, and a commitment to helping others feel safe in their own process.
