About Amanda

I have been practicing the art of yoga for 4 years. I started my yoga and meditation journey by dealing with a back injury and battling mental health issues. As this healing journey continued I wanted to share this special feeling that is inside every single person. The feeling of love and strength, I embarked on a yoga teacher training course which I graduated in January 2023.

Here are some qualities that can make a good yoga instructor:

  1. Knowledgeable: A good yoga instructor should have a solid understanding of yoga philosophy, anatomy, and asanas (yoga postures).

  2. Clear Communication: A good yoga instructor should be able to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and non-verbally. This includes giving clear and concise instructions for each pose, as well as providing guidance and encouragement throughout the practice.

  3. Empathetic: A good yoga instructor should be able to empathize with their students and create a supportive and non-judgmental environment. They should also be able to adapt their teaching style to the needs and abilities of each student.

  4. Patient: A good yoga instructor should be patient and understanding, especially with beginners who may be unfamiliar with the practice or have physical limitations.

  5. Observant: A good yoga instructor should be observant and attentive to their students' needs and abilities. This includes noticing any misalignments or imbalances in their students' postures and offering adjustments or modifications as needed.

  6. Passionate: A good yoga instructor should be passionate about the practice and have a genuine desire to share its benefits with others.

  7. Professionalism: A good yoga instructor should maintain a professional demeanor, including arriving on time, dressing appropriately, and maintaining a respectful and appropriate relationship with their students.

Remember, each yoga instructor is unique and may have their own teaching style and approach. Ultimately, the most important thing is to find an instructor who you feel comfortable with and who can guide you on your yoga journey.
